Join us on a pilgrimage to the Island of the Gods, where holding sacred space is a way of life. With daily spiritual meetings and experienced guides you will be immersed in an atmosphere of exotic beauty, spiritual devotion, and splendid nature.
DAY 1:
Arrive in Bali and transfer to 3 or 4 Star Hotel in Sanur Beach.
DAY 2:
Each day begins with our daily spiritual meeting. We then have the day to receive welcome massages, and to relax by the pool. In the evening we will have our welcome dinner. Time schedule will be provided on arrival.
DAY 3:
Travel day to Eastern Bali. Enjoy a ride along the coast through beautiful rice fields to Candidasa, a secluded and peaceful seaside area. We will visit Goa Lawah Temple, known as the Bat Cave Temple, one of Bali’s six holiest temples. This temple has been worshipped since around 1,000 A.D. It is said that the bats provide sustenance for the legendary giant snake, Naga Basuki, which is also believed to live in the cave. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 4:
We will travel to the water palace in Tirtagangga, sacred waters of the Ganges. These waters are considered to be holy and are used for religious ceremonies. While coming back to our hotel we will stop at Tenganan, an ancient Bali Aga village, famous for double ikat weavings and lontar palm leaf carvings.
DAY 5:
Today enjoy the hotel pool and optional spa activities. In the afternoon, Spirit Tours will lead an optional walk through the rice fields near the hotel.
DAY 6:
Head towards the village of Ubud, the artistic and cultural center of Bali, where we will spend few days depending upon the itinerary. Stay at Resorts / hotels located just off of Monkey Forest road, in the center of Ubud's bustling activity. Ubud is the home to Bali’s famous art museums and is a shopper’s paradise. The Ubud market has an exotic and vast array of locally produced handicrafts. Dine together at Cafe Wayan.
DAY 7:
Free time. Explore nearby salons such as Ubud’s old style family run Nur Salon with its Mandi Lulur or flower bath massage treatment, one of the most popular optional experiences on our tours.
After lunch we will visit Goa Gaja, the Elephant Cave, believed to have been a monastery in the 11th century. The entrance to Goa Gaja features the mouth of a mystical creature with many detailed carvings in stone. In the evening we will enjoy a performance of authentic Balinese dance by Semara Ratih (Sun and Moon,) one of Bali’s premier dance and gamelan groups.
DAY 8:
Visit to Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, one of Bali's prettiest temples. This is a quiet temple in homage to Visnu, the preserver, who rules over water. The natural springs and waterspouts deliver holy water which travelers may collect. A statue of Saraswati, in the middle of a large koi pond, graces the temple.
DAY 9:
This is another free day for you to explore optional activities such as biking, rafting, cooking classes, shopping or museum tours. Morning spiritual program will be as scheduled.
DAY 10:
This morning begins with an early pilgrimage to the west coast of Bali, to visit the famous seaside temple, Tanah Lot. The temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide. At the base of the rock is a holy fresh water spring where we will receive blessings before our prayer service. Farewell dinner.
DAY 11:
Our last minute shopping before we say our goodbyes and transfer to the airport for our flight back home.
